Malte, an exchange student from Germany, arrived yesterday morning safe and sound from his transoceanic, 3-hop flight to St. Paul. His bike followed 24 hours later, but also safe and in one piece.
The first thing he did on arrival was get a nap, understandable after a long day of travel and a night of little sleep in Chicago. We went out for hamburgers last night by bike (he rode my old mountain bike) so he could see a bit of the neighborhood.
He’s a nice guy, has been having fun showing Ella some fancy soccer moves, and seems to be doing pretty well for being in a new place on his own.
