By way of an update to the last post, Ella had 2 tough days after the dislocation where her arm was tender and she was very protective of it. On the 3rd day (Sunday), she was starting to move it on her own, though the arm seemed weak and shaky. It seems like it was a bruised or shocked nerve or something, and probably some sort of wrist sprain. By that afternoon though, it was already improving, and she was wrestling around and climbing on things (falling twice, which slowed her down a bit). Over the next 2 days it seemed to get better by the hour, and after about 6 days she seemed perfectly normal, writing and drawing again with that hand. Hooray for fast healing
Our final dump of winter is also pretty much cleared up now. We got about a foot of snow in two big storms in the same week earlier this month, it stayed put for about a week, then started thawing in earnest last week. Today, it’s pretty much just the piles left over, and they’re shrinking fast. We’re looking forward to the thunderstorms predicted for later this week to help clean up the yard and streets. Finally, spring is springing!
