The weather is keeping us from doing much outside, but the girls have stayed very busy with their own projects. Fiona has always been fascinated with the stairs. Since she could walk, she would make us go up and down with her, holding her hands while she practiced and practiced. Today the practice all paid off, as she can now go both up AND down the stairs all by herself! She will still reach for a hand sometimes, but made the complete trip several times this afternoon. Is this is a good thing, you might ask? Well, she wants to do it anyway, and now at least she knows how (and she’s fallen before, so she knows to be careful),
Ella has been working on her letters and reading for a while now, and over the winter has added writing to her repertoire. She can write her own name very well, impressing her ECFE teachers. She has also been writing Fiona and Autumn’s name for the ECFE name tags for the past couple of classes. I’ll try to take pictures of the name tags, if they’re still around the house. She’s also been interested in typing on the computer too, and can type her name, including her full name, with a little help remembering how to spell Kathleen.
