well, our little fi is now 9 months old. we haven’t posted an update lately, so we have some catching up to do. we could post what she is doing, but lately its more like ‘what ISN’T she doing?’. fi mastered crawling about a month ago and has been picking up speed ever since. she is now pulling herself up on anything that will support her weight, has started cruising, and will take steps holding onto my finger. she has also stood up on her own, unsupported, for a few seconds at a time. heart stopping, i tell you. all this mobility and upright stance means that there has been a lot of tumbling over, bonking her head, and tears of pain and frustration. she gets right back up again though. its amazing to watch. she is also starting to say more words…’dada’ and ‘papa’ are the most clear, but she’s also making attempts to say ‘ella’ and ‘mama’ and certainly has a lot of other wonderful noises.
most recently, she met her uncle andrew and aunt tessa for the first time. both of the girls have been having a lovely visit with them - walking to como park, walking arond the zoo, picnicking at como and loring, touring the walker sculpture garden, etc. ella adores tessa and was thrilled yesterday when they painted their toenails together. pictures and video coming soon.
