We’ve made the grave mistake of scratching Ella’s back at bedtime.
I don’t think we’ll ever ever be able to stop now.
She’s inherited that from her mother.

At her 2 year appointment, Ella measured 36 1/2″.
Knowing that, and judging from where she’s been bonking her head lately, I don’t need a tape measure to know that the doorknobs in our house are about 35″ from the floor.
minor site note - our crusty little server has been running in the closet for 120 days without a restart.
We spent our first overnight away from Ella ever on Saturday. She spent the night in Duluth with grandma and grandpa, and we camped in Jay Cook state park.
Ella did great, camping was fun (pictures coming), and we’re all a little worn out (especially grandma kathy). We missed her something fierce but it was nice to have so much time to ourselves (plus greta). We saw lots of deer (plus a spotted fawn on the trail), 2 porcupines, and a few flying squirrels. Trilliums in bloom everywhere.
