woo hoo, birthday. We worked at Riverbend Farm, the CSA farm we’re members of this year. We spent about 6 hours there helping harvest new potatoes, green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes (mmmmm… Sun Golds), peppers and eggplant. They were still at it when we had to get back home to get Ella a nap and get ready for birthday dinner.

Brother Mike and Molly and Laurel came by for pizza and homemade carrot cake (decorated with little carrots!). Lots of fun, and we pooped out early after our full day of working in the sun. That sun also gave Ella a first (minor) taste of sunburn, and Autumn a really bad burn on her shoulders. I somehow escaped overdoing it.

Helped Jess move today into her house - only 1 trip worth, but it went well. Hot and muggy day, but lots of hands helping. Going to be sore tomorrow!

It’s good to know the dns is working properly - we’re seconding now for Pete, and vice-versa.

It’s no small testiment that i can now set up and troubleshoot a secondary dns server while fighting off the mid-afternoon sleepies. Maybe unix isn’t so hard after all.

This is a pretty good radio show that seems to have disappeared from our local station. Ironic, since they’re also the station that created the show (presumably, since Garrison Keillor started it…)
